- If you want to use conventional Upholstery Foam go to Upholstery Foam Sheets
- Patio cushions are often times stuffed with Polyester Batting. To find batting go to Upholstery Notions
- If you are looking for Floatation (Closed Cell) foam to make cockpit cushions, go to Closed Cell Foam
- To staple fabric or vinyl to plywood, you will need Stainless Steel Staples, go to Boat Upholstery

- Metal zippers corrode in outdoor applications. For plastic zipper tape and pulls, go to Zipper Tape
.Lydia recommends #5 moulded teeth zipper tape.
- Tissue welt will mildew in outdoor applications, Lydia recommends Poly-Welt to make the welting for your cushions. Go to Boat Upholstery
- You need bonded thread for outdoor cushions. If you have a home sewing machine go to Thread, Outdoor
